Music Good evening and welcome to this new Regénère live. Can you tell me, before we start, in the comments, if you see me, if you hear me well, so that I don't speak alone in front of my computer.
Good evening everyone. So, can you hear me well? Is the sound good? Yeah, perfect. Okay, thank you very much. So, we're going to start, and as soon as you have any questions, feel free to post them in the comments.
So, the theme for tonight is... Thank you, it works for you, great. So it's the end-of-year holidays that are coming, and how to prepare, cross them with as much calm and ease as possible, and then how to recover if we can't make it, if we slip, if we skid, how to recover, catch up after the holidays, Because it's true that it lasts a long time, between Christmas and the New Year, we have a week where there is chocolate
hanging everywhere, where there are bottles of champagne that are still in the fridge, in a jam, for example. And it would be a shame to let it go, of course. So we're going to talk about all of this tonight.
A little word while everyone is connected. So, about the Regenère stays, as always. You know that the dates for January, February and March are online on the website REGENER.TV, which is not a subscription site, it's a public site.
And if you're interested, if you want to offer yourself an experience, a gift, it will be a very nice gift for the new year, to start the year well with the January trip, for example, with health practices to make you happy. There is also something interesting in winter, even if it is never really cold in Catalonia.
Sometimes there is frost in the morning on the lawn. There are hot baths during the stay, hot baths that are open all day long. In the water at 40 degrees, when it's cold outside, you can see the snow on the mountain range in front. You can have good times, especially when you know that as soon as you go back inside at lunchtime, the meal will be served, prepared by the volunteer team and the chefs of Régénère.
A delicious meal, good for your health, especially if you know how to avoid serving yourself 5 or 6 times, without which digestion can sometimes be a little more delicate.
So, closing parenthesis, we're going to start discussing the upcoming holidays and how to prepare your body before the holidays. So I'm going to read you a little bit and discuss the notes I took there.
And then, as the discussion progresses, do not hesitate to ask your questions in the comments. I have them in front of me and I will answer you as I go. So the first point that you announced is how to prepare your body before party meals.
This is in the hypothesis where we say to ourselves, well, party meals are a bit unusual, it's an opportunity to see family, friends, to have fun. That is to say, we're going to eat a little more greedy, a little more in quantity than usual, a little later too, maybe. And so, how to prepare and make it go as well as possible.
So, logically, what's going to be interesting to do is to try to rest before, to allow the body before the feast meals to manage the problems it already has. manage the state of the field in which it is currently in, that it manages to clean up what is treading a little, if there has been a little too much food, a few excesses recently, etc. and allow it to get rid of all that before the arrival of the holidays.
So the first point is going to be to lighten the digestive load. What does that mean? Simply lighten the digestive load, eat a little less, eat lighter, For example, we are going to introduce in large quantities cooked vegetables, steamed vegetables for example, soups, and then we are going to combine them with relatively digestible foods, such as fish, eggs, some fertilizer, so digestible fertilizer,
we mainly refer to sweet potatoes, potatoes, vegetables, and then cereals, It's easy to digest, let's say it's more like rice. Sarazin quinoa, it's not really cereals, but let's say it's still in the water.
What it means is to avoid products with a lot of wheat, products with white flour in particular, especially if it's wheat, because there is gluten and because if the flour is white, the starches, the sugars behave like fast sugars that will quickly go into the blood and cause blood glucose to rise.
It's the same in food combinations, it's something that is very easy.
Food stacking, a lot of different foods in the same dish or in the same meal, it's harder to digest. So if I want to lighten my diet, I'm going to make myself an easy meal. One plate. In this plate, half is cooked or raw vegetables.
That's what you see. A quarter of this plate can be a source of protein, relatively digestible. So it's going to be fish, white fish rather, which are more digestible than fatty fish. Of course, it has to be nuanced in the context.
Eggs, that's it, things that will go well. White meat, at the limit, turkey and everything, sorry, chicken. Turkey will be for the party. If you have access to quality poultry near your home. And then the third part, the last quarter of the plate, will be a source of fat, rather digestible, so rather light.
Digestible fat also means things that have not been fried, that have not been cooked at a very high temperature, that have not been grilled, like the crust of bread. It's good, it's what gives the good taste, but this reaction produces molecules that are difficult to digest, that the body cannot handle.
It's the grilled molecules, in general. So the crust of the bread is part of it. So when we talk about digested starch, we're obviously going to put the bread aside. Of course, we're going to try to avoid corn bread, even if it's pretty greedy.
So there you go. To simplify the diet, I repeat, the plate, half of the vegetables, cooked or raw, a quarter of a protein source and a quarter of a fat source.
End of meal. There is no dessert, there is no cheese, there is no coffee, ideally, there is no digestive either. And here we are on a relatively light meal.
So avoid complex mixtures, that's what I just told you. Also take into account the fact of cheese, bread and dessert that we add during meals, since it's probably going to be during party meals. Well, in meals before, we're going to try to avoid that kind of thing.
The association, especially of the three, cheese, bread and dessert, associated with the rest of the meal, it's something pretty heavy. And then we also advise you to drink more, in any case, it means drinking enough.
We easily give quantities like a liter and a half per day for an adult, it doesn't mean anything in itself and it's not necessarily adapted. Because hydration can come from your diet, especially if you eat a lot of raw food, a lot of fruits and vegetables.
It also comes from vegetable juices, if you drink them, and from the amount of minerals that are inside the organism. That's what allows you to store water and be hydrated. If there are no minerals, if we are demineralized, and that we drink a lot of water, we will urinate, it will be useless and it will tire the kidneys.
So there I see that we already have a question, so Emilie who tells us food association, two points, protein and fatty acids together, question mark. So it's true that it's an association that is generally discouraged for the reason that proteins are digested in the stomach and they spend time in a very acidic environment, but that the fatty acids are rather digested in an alkaline environment thanks to amylase, salivary amylase and pancreatic amylase. In an alkaline environment, if it's too acidic, amylase stops working.
So, in fact, it's a point that is nuanced. The first thing is in what state of vitality we are. Someone who is rather exhausted, tired, who really has a difficult digestion, a lot of swallowing, burps after meals, heaviness, fatigue, etc.
Here, we will pay more attention. If this is not the case, what you need to keep in mind is that the digestion of starch starts in the mouth with salivary amylase. This means that if you chew long enough, it is also a very important point, eat slowly and chew a lot.
It allows to insalivate the food and the salivary amylase starts its work of predigestion of starch. And then the food bowl goes down into the stomach. At this point, if there are proteins and fats at the same time, the stomach will decrease its pH, so increase its acidity, to run the specific proteolytic enzymes in the stomach, which work in an acidic environment, which will attack the digestion of proteins.
The digestion of the amino acids stops at this point. Once the proteins are cut enough, the mixture leaves the stomach and enters the intestinal tract. Here, pancreatic sugars and bile sugars that come from the liver will neutralize the acidity and bring back enzymes that are responsible for digesting starches, fats, but also less complex proteins, because the stomach has started to work on protein digestion. At this point, starch digestion can continue and proceed quite correctly. Insofar as the meal is eaten in an ideal context,
chewed enough, in a context of relaxation, of relaxation, in quantity adapted with quality elements, it is quite possible that this food association goes very well. Especially if we are in the context of a plate with 50 % vegetables.
You have a quarter of protein, a quarter of fat, digest, that's what I explained earlier, and half of vegetables. So here you have something that for an individual who has a satisfactory state of health, it works. And what is not necessarily said, but which is taken into account anyway, is that in my example, there is no dessert, there is no cheese, there is no coffee, there is no aperitif, there is no starter.
So here I have something that is quite well tolerated. Food combinations are very interesting, but it's still theory. In practice, it's something that is much more nuanced and much more adapted. Theory is always adapted to reality.
You always have to keep that in mind. Today, we are unable to describe reality because we do not know everything that happens in the body. And probably we will never know. But starting from there, we have to maintain a certain degree of humility in relation to the functioning of the living, which goes far beyond us and constantly amazes us.
And to say that, OK, there is theory, which is one thing, and theory is a guide. It reminds me of a sentence that Thierry often said, and which is really beautiful.
It's a quote that he repeated. This quote says that the rule is not a rigid framework that closes it, it is the inhaler that structures it. So that means that the rule is there to guide us, to give us indications, but it is not there to block us, to freeze us in a mental, intellectual, theoretical pattern that does not correspond to reality.
The comments are making me lose the thread, sorry. So what I was telling you, the rule is the inspiratory breath that structures. Because in combinations, in food associations, it gives us a context, a general framework.
And within this framework, it's up to everyone to find what suits them and what doesn't. Depending on their vitality, on their personal tastes as well. Food has to remain a pleasure, without it becoming an excess, a compensation, compared to a discomfort that could come from elsewhere.
But it has to be something pleasant, because it's a process that supports life, which supports the living, which allows us to live. So, don't forget that. It's very good, Emilie, by the way, to have highlighted this point, because indeed, protein and fat together can sometimes be very badly digested.
For example, if my meal is half fat, little digestible, half protein, little digestible. And now I'm going to give you an example to illustrate what it means, protein and fat, little digestible, fries and grilled minced steak, for example.
For example, if the meat is of good quality, if the cooking doesn't cause it to grill too much, we'll say it's OK as a source of protein, as long as we accept to consume meat. The problem with fries is frying. Frying is heating your potatoes at a very high temperature in boiling oil, and so it creates, by reaction related to heat, molecules that are very, very indigestible, or not at all, and when you combine the two, you inevitably have a meal that is not digestible at all.
So in this context, indeed, a food association, protein plus fat, it doesn't work at all. And to a person who would absolutely like to eat grilled minced steak and fries, we will advise him to eat his steak and vegetables for one meal and fries and vegetables for another meal.
And this is what we call the dissociated diet, which can be interesting in the case of people people who are very tired or who absolutely want to eat fries. It's a joke. But it's not necessarily a strict rule to follow systematically. And besides, there are people who have done it.
It happened to me at one time. At first, it works very well. Then after a while, it doesn't work at all. Digestion becomes complicated despite the food combinations, in theory, extremely digestible. It's because there are a lot of other factors to take into account.
And there is a naturopath who is known for that, who wrote books on it. It seems to me that it is Robert Masson, who was also known for criticizing crudivorism and these things, and also for vegetalism.
But it was not a free criticism, it was an argumented and explained criticism based on real cases. It was not crudivorism in the absolute, it was people who did anything and did not listen to their feelings, and who got sick and almost died, some even died.
This is where the criticism is. It's not about carnivorism at all, which is a health tool, among so many others. That's it, an exhaustive answer on the idea of food combinations.
I hope it was clear. If it ever raised any questions, something that wasn't explained too well or on which I went a little too fast, feel free to ask the question in the comments. Then, Flop, who tells us about poultry despite the ARM vaccination against the avian flu. Yes, it is indeed something to take into account.
If you have poultry producers near your home, there are always small breeders who give birth to chicks at home and will allow you to buy eggs from chickens that have not been vaccinated and probably meat from chickens that have not been vaccinated.
If you have access to it, go for it without hesitation, if not, it's worth asking yourself the question and making the decision in your own conscience. Luca, who tells us, you make a distinction between chicken and turkey.
Thank you for your answer. Yes, the chicken is the rooster that has been castrated and is raised for meat, it's a chicken. And the turkey is another animal that is a little bigger than the chickens.
A little bigger and that we often eat for the holidays. Flop who tells us, I followed the Montignac regime for 30 years and I always felt good.
The second point is going to be to support the liver. With very simple things, if you make juices, put beetroot in your juice, if you tolerate it.
For the most adventurous among you, black radish. Go ahead, be careful. Afterwards, you can also make juice, softer, with fennel, apple, carrot, possibly.
It will also help the liver to clean up a bit, but it will be much softer than beetroot. If you're really a warrior and you only want the liver. Imagine a person who has planned in his head to really enjoy a party meal, who has a good vitality and a little bit of a burnt head, and who says to himself, ok, I'm going to prepare my body thoroughly to be able to enjoy these party meals.
Well, he would say to himself, ok, I'm going to do a juice cure, a week would be perhaps exaggerated, but three or four days before the first party meal, juice cure, 100 % beetroot juice, and I wouldn't like to be in his place.
I don't know what's going to happen, but if the person doesn't throw up, it's because they're really, really strong. So, it's a joke, of course, but all this to say that beetroot juice, to support the liver, it actually works in quantity adapted to our state and to the state of our liver.
So, I see that Flop, who was telling us Montignac regime, is a dissociated regime, roughly speaking. Okay, if it works over a long period of time, great, but what Flop couldn't explain to us is the rest of his life hygiene.
Okay? Which probably, most of the visitors were green, which means that this diet, for him, worked perfectly. It's always the same, the diets that work for some, it's very good, but you have to look at everything they do around them. If you speak English, there is a YouTuber who is American and who is really nice, who is called Marcus Roskrons and his channel is ElciLife, it seems to me,
at present. He, raw food, it works very well, he started at 45 years old, now he is in his 60s, and it looks like he is 30 years old, physically. But if you watch his videos, you will realize that this guy has flourished in all areas of his life.
Yes, he mainly eats raw food, but he flourishes everywhere else. So, of course, for him, it's going very, very well. And on top of that, he lives not too far from the south of the United States, so in countries a little warmer than in Europe.
OK, so we were talking about supporting the liver. I'm just going to finish on how to prepare your body before the holidays, and then I'll go back to the comments. So, the support of the liver can also be done by herbal teas, quite light, rosemary, artichoke, mint, mellis, which are digestive herbal teas too.
It's going well, and of course, the broth on the liver. either in the evening, or after a meal, or anything. The idea is to put heat on the liver. It helps to accelerate blood circulation.
So the liver will be more irrigated, more drained as well. And it can also make the lymph move a little. So it will help to clean the liver. The second thing is going to be deep breathing. When you breathe, you inflate the chest first, and then the belly with the diaphragm that goes down to let the air into the lungs and that compresses the viscera.
In fact, this breathing with the diaphragm that goes down, by massaging all the viscera, it crushes them slightly, and it massages them like a massage. And that will help them not to stay fixed, frozen, tense, to sclerose.
It contributes to the good functioning, to the good vitality of these organs. Deep breathing or diaphragmatic breathing, to be more precise. And on top of that, it allows you to oxygenate yourself more, which is also very good for the brain, and the diaphragm, which is directly connected to the nervous system.
So activation of the parasympathetic system, rest mode, regeneration, digestion. The third thing I wanted to say to support the liver, it will also be the cataplasm of ricin oil on the liver in the evening with a hot water bottle. We activate the lymphatic system, the system is military, and we help the liver to decongest.
The third point is going to be to move the lymph. The lymph, which is everywhere, which drains toxins from the whole body. To make it move, it's the movement, daily physical activity.
It means moving in your day. Physical activity, not necessarily doing a sports session, if you're not athletic, but moving, walking, doing household activities, gardening, whatever, having fun.
It counts as a very important physical activity, especially to make the lymph move. Deep breathing also participates in the movement of the lymph. and then there can be self-massages. So after that, self-massage anywhere, rather gently, because the lymphatic channels are rather on the surface.
So you don't need to press hard to do a lymphatic drainage, if you want to move the lymph, but simply slightly pressed splashes. And the last point to recover, to heal your body before the arrival of the holidays, it will be to stabilize the glycemia.
So it's a question of how much glucose I consume, in what quantity, at what frequency. And how do I feel after a meal? Do I have a hangover a few hours after a meal? Which could point gently to glycemia and insulin.
So a very simple trick, it's going to be in these meals, to reduce glucose, but to make it smoother. So glucose is really the source of sugar, simple sugar, complex sugar, carbohydrate, the generic term is glucose.
To reduce my glycides, I will increase in my meal my amount of protein and my amount of fat. And so I will still have a very nutritious meal with a little less glycides. And the amount of glycides in my meals, it should be adapted according to my physical activity level of the day.
In addition, I have important physical activity. If I do a big workout, for example, I will need to consume more glycides. If it's a day where I'm extremely sedentary, maybe I could really, really reduce my glycides by conserving the same amount of protein and fat.
Another tip would be to really reduce simple sugars, in particular snacks, cakes, all the gourmet stuff, 48 hours before the first party meal. Before the meal, it would be the 24th's awakening, or the 25th's meal, depending on how you do it.
Two days before, limit all cakes, sweets, pastries, chocolates, for example, to allow the body to lighten up. It helps the liver, it helps to drain the lymph, and it restores digestive system.
And then, the day is the day, let's go. We eat with moderation, with wisdom, but especially with pleasure, and the body will be a little prepared. He probably didn't call it what he wanted, even if we wanted it.
But physiologically, he will be much more apt to face this gourmet meal. There were other comments. Eve says, can we take digestive enzymes during a cooked meal? What kind of enzymes?
The question is, why would we want to take digestive enzymes? So if it's to digest a meal a little more densely, a little richer than usual, yes, it can be a strategy, as it's episodic.
The risk with enzymes is that if we regularly take digestive enzymes, the body will stop making them, or we will produce a lot less of them because they are brought from outside. So what is not used is atrophy, and the ability to produce enzymes in the body will decrease.
and the day we will no longer have our enzyme capsules to consume, we will no longer digest anything because the body will no longer produce enough. Beyond this risk, if we know that we are invited, for example, that we will have a meal a little greedy, a little rich, a little fatter than what we are used to, and that we say to ourselves, I'm going to take my digestive enzymes to make it better, well, yes, it's a very good strategy.
And what type of enzymes? Well, it would be necessary that it be an enzyme complex with enzymes that are used to digest glucose, with enzymes that are used to digest proteins, lipids, possibly enzymes for lactase if there are dairy products.
At least these three or four types. And then there are formulas where there are many more. If you have the means to buy enzymes from Puradigm, C-P-U-R-A-D-Y-M-E. In their digestive enzymes, I think there are 14 or 16 types of different enzymes. So there you have everything you need to digest pretty much everything that can exist in a party meal.
It's a possibility, a strategy. Philippe, who says, I like a dessert with organic yogurt, blueberries or a compote with cashew nuts. It depends on the rest of the meal. Technically, compote goes well.
Non-sweet compote in moderate quantities is something that goes well. And cashew nuts, there is still something to know. It is the nuts that contain the most glucose. It's at 20%.
That's why they're so greedy, but that's also why they're so indigestible. And that's still annoying, especially if you eat a lot of them. because since they are greedy, having a tendency to eat a little more, saying to yourself, yeah, it's nuts, it's natural, it can't hurt me, well, not necessarily, it can be unpleasant.
It can be difficult to digest. So be careful with cashew nuts, especially depending on the quantity, and cashew nuts are almost never raw, unless it is really specified on the packaging, since they are heated to be cut, but maybe you already know that.
And the organic sheep yogurt, it depends on what was eaten at the meal. If it was a vegetable meal, it's fine. A raw food meal, okay. If it was a meal that already contained meat, maybe fat and protein, let's say meat, potato, the organic sheep yogurt for dessert, well, it will depend on the vitality and digestive capacity of each one.
If it works, it's because there's a good digestive capacity. If it doesn't work, it's because it's a little too complex. So we have to test and adapt individually. Lucas asks, what about kefir or kombucha after a meal?
I don't know. If we want probiotics, if we eat them at the end of a meal, it doesn't work because they will be blocked in the stomach. If we take them before to improve our microbiota, it can make sense, but we would have to do it for several days.
After a meal, I don't know, I've never tried. So if someone has already done that, drink kefir or kombucha after a meal to digest better and it has been the case for him, tell us in the comments.
For me, these are drinks that I don't consume too much, so I can't say. Emilie, who tells us, I have problems with bile vesicles. Is the support of the liver enough to help me digest? The support of the liver that I just talked about, it depends. It's something very light, it will help, yes. But to what extent, I'm not sure.
And if there are problems with roadways, we're going to have to take a much wider approach, a much more advanced approach, because roadway problems don't appear like that. It's the story of a terrain that has degraded over time.
It has impacted the roadway, so maybe it's calculations or I don't know what. It took time to create. And what allowed this to appear, these problems of bile vesicles, is the whole of your lifestyle, of your lifestyle, of what you have experienced.
So if you want to improve that, you have to take all of this into account. Indeed, what I advised for the support of the liver, it will help. From there to know if it is enough to digest, not sure. Bile vesicles, it will be a lot of lipid digestion.
So to see if a very fat meal for you is difficult to digest, you know that you have to go slow and take a closer look at the bile vesicle. If a very fatty meal goes well, it's because maybe the problems with the bile vesicle are mild.
But if you know it, it's because it's probably been diagnosed to you, so it probably means that fatty meals are more difficult to digest for you. Maybe it would be wise to limit the fat a bit, but not to stop it.
Because having fat in your meal means that the vesicle will secrete bile. And it is through bile that the liver detoxifies, eliminates toxins that are in it, liposoluble toxins. So it's interesting to keep that. And in addition to that, bile has a role in intestinal peristaltis, so the transit.
Less bile means maybe a transit that slows down and potentially a risk of constipation. That's why you absolutely must not stop the lipids in the meal. A spoon that tells us a tablespoon of olive oil before the meal.
I don't know, it looks like a tablespoon of olive oil, it's before you go pickling that it avoids being drunk too quickly if you haven't eaten. I've never tried. Before the meal, I don't know, I don't know at all.
It can stimulate the liver, but would it help to digest? Philippe, if you do the experiment, you will tell us next time how it happened. Maïs says, I take advantage of your question, Emily, to ask for advice if we have billiard calculations. So the best advice is to go to the REGENER website, browse the liver health, and there are a lot of things on the liver and billiard calculations.
Globally, if we have binary calculations to make it simple, it means that there is an accumulation of something. In fact, these are toxins that the liver, which is in charge of eliminating by the bile, sends them into the bile, the bile goes into the binary vesicle.
If these toxins don't come out easily enough, I schematize, but basically, to sum up, that's about what's going on. It stays stuck there. There can be several reasons for that.
And as always, the solution will be the hygiene of life, food in particular. But the liver and the bile vesicle, as Pierre-Richard said, the liver does not exist.
So your vesicle either. It is part of an individual. And this individual itself is part of an environment. So if you want to treat your bile vesicle, you have to treat the whole individual and taking into account its environment.
Otherwise, we risk missing something and maybe in the end we won't be able to solve the problem. So, the journey on the liver, physical nutrition, juice, vegetables too, and then seeing the whole of the hygiene of life, as always, and the emotional one, of course. The vesicle, it seems to me that it is something that does the sorting, Who has to do the sorting?
I'm not going to take the time to look, because I don't know where the information is. There is also a meaning to the billiard ball. It has to do with having calculations. So you can read it. I think you can find it on the Internet by simply searching. And then see if it speaks to you or not.
Muriel, who tells us, I remember my grandfather who, before a copious Sunday meal or a party, went to the garden and chewed, walked maybe, no, chewed, in the garden, I don't know, sage leaves, ah, sage leaves, ok, why not, sage leaves or digestive stimulants like mint, peppermint, normal mint, melis too, olive oil leaves too, quite simply. Amel,
who tells us to take one or two tablespoons of cider vinegar dissolved in a little bit of water at the beginning of a meal, can it help or stimulate the digestion of a meal with the liver? What it will certainly do is help stabilize the glycemia, potentially increase the acidity of the stomach.
So yes, that's something that could help, as long as we don't already have acidity problems in the stomach. Without which, putting vinegar in a stomach that already has acidity problems, and it can be not necessarily adapted.
Then, Eve, who asks us what kind of infusions can help digestion. So, first thing, not too much float in the infusion, because if I have digestion problems, it means that my stomach is already full.
So if I drink a large amount of infusion, I will put a lot of water in my stomach and I will dilute my digestive sugars and therefore make digestion even more complex. If it's several hours after the meal that my stomach is empty, so let's say 3 to 4 hours, if it was a feast meal, rather 5 to 6 hours, or even more if it was very fat and very mixed.
So on that account, if the stomach is empty, we can drink more infusions. That said, if we want a digestive infusion, it's going to be things like mint, peppermint, rosemary, which stimulates the liver, mellis, and there are many others.
You can see everything that is bitter, spruce, spruce roots in particular, spruce roots too. Then you have essential oils to use with caution, but peppermint, that for stimulating the digestive system, it's still quite effective.
But as always, essential oils, don't do anything, Margaret asks, if we make a light meal, rather raw, can we eat a homemade dessert? If it's a 100 % raw meal, we can eat an apple for dessert or compote.
It will go well. After, do we really want to eat a dessert? If we make a raw meal, let's say, why not eat the fruits at the beginning? and then the rest right after. Eating a dessert is still something extremely cultural and typical of our time of abundance, because we have the luxury of being able to eat a dessert, if we want to.
But in the absolute, it has never been a physiological need, nor a duty that we could claim. So maybe putting dessert consumption in perspective, especially if you've already had a light meal to support your digestive system or to prepare for a party meal, why add an effort with a dessert if you're not hungry anymore, which won't really feed you?
If you're still hungry after a light meal, maybe this meal was too light. If you're still hungry after a raw meal, especially if after my raw meal I want a dessert full of dates, full of coconut oil, full of alginate puree, is that maybe my meal wasn't dense enough.
And on that account, I would absolutely have to follow the Reboot Metabolic program to learn more about food density and do experiments to see what suits my body today. And maybe 100 % raw is not exactly what I need right now.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have these cravings for dense meals at the end of a meal. Monika is telling us that it's lagging. Unfortunately, Monika, I can't do anything for you. On the other hand, the replay will be available starting tomorrow.
It's part of the direct ALEA. We're going to resume our little presentation on preparing party meals. So we talked about what we could do before a party meal. Now we're going to talk about limiting the impact during meals.
So there are several things, including the order in which we eat. So the order in which we are going to ingest food. That means if I start with an aperitif or my aperitif, I already have aperitif biscuits.
So probably wheat, things like that, salt and fat. After that, with the aperitif, I can also have charcuterie, for example. So I've already had cereals plus fat meat and possibly a glass of alcohol.
After that, I start my meal. Even if I start with a green salad, I've already started with something indigestible. So the ideal would be to start with something light, that is, liquid, without alcohol if possible, for the aperitif.
Well, if it's a fruit juice, too bad, the fruit juices of commerce, it's actually not something very interesting. But if it's exceptional to party or to drink something and participate with everyone, we'll say it's OK.
After, the first thing I'm going to eat is the appetizer, hoping that there is green salad or something that looks like vegetables, very good. After that, well, maybe it will be turkey with an accompaniment, very good. And then the dessert, well, by politeness, if we have to, well. On the other hand, what happens is that if I chewed correctly, really, really chewed, if I didn't overdo the quantities, if maybe the meal lasted because we discussed, the digestion has time to start.
And finally, when we get to the dessert time, since it's three hours after the start of the meal, or at least for a while after the start of the meal. Maybe a moderate portion of homemade dessert, ideally, and not necessarily something industrial like butter cream, etc. that stays on your stomach for hours.
Why not? Why not? If it's a dessert, if someone, if grandma made the effort to make you a cake because she's happy to see you, she made a log herself with gluten, but it's your grandma, so she made something to please you.
You can take a little piece, chew it conscientiously, and maybe it will go very well, especially if the atmosphere is good during the meal, during the evening.
After, if it's something industrial that we bought just because we needed a cake, you also have the right to say that you are no longer hungry, simply. And in fact, it's for the whole meal.
The meal is a proposition. You come to eat a little, but also to see the people with whom you share this meal. So you don't have to eat everything. And you have the right to say no, to say I want a little less.
And if you have no other choice, you also have the right not to finish your plate. And then, globally, if someone takes it personally, it may be him who has a problem and not necessarily you. Second tip.
We talked about the order in which we eat, and especially the amount of chewing. The second tip is to do digestive micropauses. Maybe between meals, take the time to go to the bathroom for 5 minutes, go outside, breathe the air, walk a little bit, breathe, don't necessarily drink, maybe a little bit if you have eaten very salty or very sweet, you are thirsty, it's something normal, so drinking is going to be rather beneficial, a moderate amount,
always, so as not to dilute the acids that fill the stomach. Breathe to relax the nervous system, to switch to parasympathetic mode, so digestion, rest, avoid being stressed.
It also means discussions during meals, if you see members of your family that you don't see often, with whom you don't necessarily get along, or maybe you do, but you like to yell at each other, because it's the tradition.
Well, maybe avoid those strong emotions that will make you go into a nice mode, so action, and leave the rest and digestion mode. No matter the conversations, even if people say things that seem huge to you, with which you do not agree, in the end you do not have to react.
The person will probably not change his mind and it's not because you don't say anything that it takes away anything from you, it's just that you decided to have a good time and above all to promote your digestion. The next point is to manage alcohol.
If you can't do any alcohol because you don't like it or you're used to it, Otherwise, it's going to be moderate quantities, avoid strong alcohols, prioritize something of quality that is not too full of sulfites, that is not terrible for digestion or the stomach, and above all, that you enjoy it.
Above all, the important thing is to enjoy it, not to deprive yourself. If you want to drink alcohol, don't deprive yourself. If you want to drink alcohol, don't deprive yourself.
On the other hand, do not overdo the quantities, of course. Everyone knows that. And the fourth tip, it's going to be moving a little just after the meal.
So once the meal is over, or even before we serve the dessert, go out for a walk, maybe five minutes, breathe, stretch if you need to. Same thing, after the dessert, it helps to stabilize the glycemia, to sit down, breathe deeply, relax, etc. and it helps a lot with digestion.
If you have the opportunity to walk even a little more after dessert so that the sugar is quickly absorbed by the blood and that the digestion happens a little better. Here are the tips during meals. So I look at the comments.
Lucas who tells us why coffee is not indicated at the end of meals, the square of chocolate is not indicated either. The problem with coffee is that it is a stimulant. It can strengthen the digestive process because it is a stimulant, but the problem is that it is a stimulation that is not compensated by a rest, by nutrients that it could bring by coffee, unlike ginger. Rather than drinking coffee, you take a ginger root and chew it.
You make a ginger, lemon, turmeric juice, coffee at not quite equal parts because otherwise it does not pass through the extractor and otherwise it becomes solid and you take a sip at the end of the meal.
That will help you digest and at the same time it will feed the body. Coffee does not do that. So if you absolutely stick to your coffee at the end of the meal, no problem. The problem with coffee is when it becomes a bequia because we are exhausted and we can do nothing without coffee.
The problem is mainly there or when we have stomach problems, acidity, stomach pain, etc. The chocolate bar, if it's one square at 70 % or more of cocoa, a single square that you digest well, it's not a problem.
Because what we want, what we want in terms of health, is that the digestion goes well. If the digestion goes well with a chocolate bar at the end of the meal, it's not a problem.
If, on the other hand, you feel like you have a chocolate addiction and you want to stop eating chocolate, the context changes and therefore the decisions will be different. But in the absolute, a chocolate bar is not a problem.
If you are okay with the fact that it comes from far away, that it must cross half of the Earth, there is no problem with chocolate, knowing that most of the food we find in stores, even in organic stores, sometimes we also cross a large part of the Earth. It's up to everyone to choose their position on that.
Annie asks Maïsée if she knows the cure for billion-dollar calculations from Dr. Hulda Clark. There's just one thing I wanted to say about that, and it's something that is specified in a podcast, In one of the podcasts, Le Corps est Génial, and I don't remember which one it is, maybe the first one, in fact, it's a warning in relation to the strong cleansing, purging or detox cure.
It's that the cure for evacuation of biliard calculus, very good, by admitting that the field is adapted to receive it. Because what's going to happen is that we're going to force the vesicle to get these things out.
So we're going to divert the vital energy of the body to a specific action decided by our mind. This is something that in hygiene is absolutely not well seen. Hygiene is one thing, after naturopathy it is another, and so we can find a balance.
However, we must not forget, someone who is exhausted, are we going to force his vitality to go in a direction that we have chosen with the mind? That is to say, it is not the body that chooses with the intelligence of the living, it is us with our mind and with our beliefs that we are going to choose.
Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not necessarily good. We need to have a reading grid that is just enough to avoid making mistakes. After that, the calculations are evacuated and a lot of other things in the bile.
Very well, it ends up in the intestinal tract. In the intestinal tract, it is the most absorbing environment of the body, which is responsible for absorbing nutrients. If the toxins are there, but the transit stagnates or advances very slowly, it is possible for the body to reabsorb these toxins. And there, it starts to become a real problem.
So, the cures like this one or the Tantrasmurits, which produce rather spectacular results, in any case on the material level, from what we can see, on the physiological level, it may not necessarily be suitable.
So, these are still things to consider with wisdom. It's like rice oil purges. It can sometimes be useful, but not necessarily. And certainly not in a systematic way. Really a little nuance and measure in relation to this kind of practice.
Céline tells us, fermented drinks, kefir, kombucha or spontaneous fermentation, are they more indicated than water during meals? It makes me think, do you know tepache?
The tepache is a fermented drink based on pineapple peel, which you will probably drink if you go on a regenerative stay, since Quentin, the cook, often makes it, he likes things that ferment, and in particular the tepache.
Very interesting, and also interesting for digestion, since in the pineapple peel there are bromelain, these proteolytic enzymes, which will help digestion. If you, we talked about enzymes earlier, but you can very well eat pineapple before a big meal, you will benefit a little bit from the digestive enzymes that are in the pineapple.
There are less in the flesh than in the skin, unfortunately, but there are a little bit anyway, and that's what stings our tongue if we eat a little too much pineapple. It is these enzymes that begin to attack the tongue. So, the question of Céline was to know if these fermented fish were more indicated than water during the meal.
I don't know, I just don't drink. If I'm not thirsty during the meal, I won't drink. If I have the choice and the kefir or kombucha at my disposal, I like the taste, well, yes, I would drink that, yes. Why not?
More than water, it's still a question of at the moment, do I want it or not? If my meal is already very rich in flavor, maybe I would prefer water that does not bring additional flavor, which will not be the case for the kefir and kombucha. So you have to try it, but why not?
Laetitia says we can move by dancing a little. If after the dessert of the party meal you are going to dance for several hours, it is really ideal, especially if you have eaten a lot of carbohydrates, which will probably be the case, it will help a lot to eliminate, and the next morning it will be much easier to get up, probably. And if there is fatigue, it will be more physical fatigue than the liver that we can't take anymore, and the head that is super heavy, the eyelids that have a hard time getting up,
etc. So the tepache, yes, it's written, Céline, like Émilie wrote it right after. Tepache, it's a pineapple-based specialty, fermented pineapple skin. Jean-Claude who says, is honey a sugar to avoid?
It depends again, it depends on the context in which we eat. The honey, the real honey, insofar as we are talking about real honey that comes from bees and that has been harvested by an apiculter, not the things that we find in supermarkets with honey marked on it and that we don't really know what's in it or where it comes from.
Which, by the way, is not a novelty since there are apiculters who already ordered, at the time of my grandparents, honey from abroad, so-called honey, and who sold it as if they had made it themselves.
So, always be careful with the quality of the honey. If it's real honey, how do you avoid it? For dessert, yes, because we stay on fast sugar, which will ferment if the stomach is already full. In large quantities, the same. If it's associated with cakes, same thing. It's fast sugars with complex sugars, so starches with fast sugars.
whether it's honey or white sugar, it's a food combination that is rather unfavorable, which will easily lead to fermentation. It still depends on the quantity, how much you eat, it depends on what the rest of the meal was, do you eat it for dessert, and it depends on the vitality of the person, are you able to digest it well or not.
So, even if you eat sugar, indeed, honey, whole sugar, it will be more interesting than refined white sugar. If you can get by, however, It's better to spend your money on dessert or a meal.
On the other hand, if you take a spoonful of honey before going to a workout or after to recover, there's no problem. It's very, very contextual. As I said earlier, there are no strict rules to follow that are true all the time.
There are great principles of the living, and there are theoretical rules, in any case a framework that we propose to you, which serves as an inspiring breath, a structured framework in which you will be able to experiment and find what suits you at this moment.
Which may not be the same as in two months, and which is probably not the same as it was several years ago, since we evolve and our needs evolve. Very well, so I'm going to resume with the next point, day J, simple strategy to enjoy meals without putting your digestive system in difficulty.
So day J, let's say it's December 24th, this evening there is the New Year's Eve, what am I going to be able to do today? Well, we could try, for example, to eat light, to save our digestive power and our enzymes during the day.
So go for vegetable soup, simply, with maybe a little bit of protein, maybe a little bit of lipids. A little bit anyway, because if we eat too light, we may be really, really hungry in the evening and for the feast meal. And maybe eat a little more than reason, because we will have this need.
The body will say, but you didn't give me anything during the day, it's a transparent soup, are you kidding or what? And then boom, there's a big turkey coming in with potatoes, well, I eat everything, or at least half of it.
So eat light during the day, but not too much either. There is a strategy, but which can also be risky, it is not to eat during the day. Here, you leave your digestive system at rest and arrive in the evening, well, two things.
Either your body has gone into fasting and you are not hungry at all, in this case, not necessarily the most suitable, or you are very, very hungry and you are going to eat a lot too much. And on that account, you know that a long intermittent fast is not suitable for you right now.
But suddenly, even if you eat more, you will digest better since your digestive system is at rest all day. It's not necessarily an advice, it's more to illustrate something. So on day J, eat rather lightly, okay? But still eat, to avoid having a big belly to arrive in the evening. So the next point is a ruse.
Do not get hungry so as not to eat too much. And so here the idea would be to take a snack a few hours before lunch. So if you know that you are invited for 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. for example, let's say at 8 p.m., 2-3 hours before, you're going to have a little snack, rather fat and protein-rich, maybe like almonds, something like that, eggs. That way, the body will have digested, it will have already had nutrients,
maybe even vegetable juice, for the contribution of micronutrients. And then, like that, when you arrive in the evening, at the time of the awakening, your body has already been fed, and so it avoids the risk of throwing yourself on the first thing that happens, like a hungry person because he's hungry and it's time.
It can limit the risks a bit. Nutritional food. So it completes the first point. Eat light during the day, yes, but eat extremely nutritious. Maybe vegetable juices, maybe germinated seeds, maybe soaked egg yolks, maybe even meat if you eat a moderate amount, eggs. It will really feed you, the body will be satisfied, his needs will be met and so he will not want to throw himself on the first dish that passes, arriving at the New Year's Eve meal. If your New Year's Eve meal,
the first, is the New Year's Eve of the 25th, well on that account, you have the choice either to do your intermittent fasting if it is usual and maybe eat a little snack, a few almonds, before arriving at New Year's Eve, or a vegetable juice, basically a vegetable juice in the morning.
And if you have had a workout in the morning, the body will digest much better the meal than if you stayed in bed all morning, to eat less, otherwise that's it, after that it's a little bit more difficult, so it's going to be respecting the STOP signal.
At some point, when the body is full enough, when the stomach is full enough of food, we feel that it's good, there is satiety, I'm not hungry anymore, I don't need it anymore.
In any case, the physiological needs or the physiological capacity of the of the stomach have been reached and the body no longer needs or even asks you to stop eating. Well, if we can feel that, the ideal is of course to stop, even if the next dish that we have not yet tasted or the dessert that is coming looks extremely appetizing, well if I want my digestion to go well and suddenly my night and my sleep just after too, well it will be better to stop.
And if the dessert really looked very, very appetizing, it is always possible to put a piece of it aside and eat it the next morning. So that's the advice for the first day of the holidays. Of course, this applies to all other holidays.
If you have any questions again, do not hesitate in the comments. And so here we come to the last point, the day after the holiday, how to recover quickly. First thing, logic, do not eat, intermittent fasting, longer fasting if you have eaten a lot in the evening or if you are not hungry at all in the morning, do not eat anything until the real hunger returns.
It means that you have had an immeasurable meal, or at least, not necessarily immeasurable, but superior to what is usual, more greedy, richer too. Well, it is normal for the hunger to take a little more time to come back than usual, since you had a different diet.
So on that account, no problem, enjoy this morning to go for a walk, spend time with your family, discuss, etc. and wait before eating for the real hunger to come back. And at that moment, when the hunger comes back, well, it's very interesting either to drink a vegetable juice, it really helps to continue cleaning, possibly accelerate the transit, maybe beetroot juice for those who are not afraid.
If the liver has been a little charged by the meal the day before, the beetroot juice a little strong, it can make you vomit. It's not a problem, it's just the liver that evacuates quickly with a lot of energy.
Otherwise, it can also accelerate the transit. So here it's a little softer, but it's an accelerated evacuation reaction. And that's it. Otherwise, vegetable juice, you don't have to put beetroot in it.
But generally, when we eat something quite dense, quite rich, unusual, let's say, maybe a little more transformed than what we're used to, a good vegetable juice the next day, it's really, really good.
It rehydrates and reminds the body, in the end, what it really likes, what's good for us. Yeah, it's in the vegetable juice, but it's not so much in the huge feast meals, which makes us really happy.
So there you go, it can be vegetable juice, and it can also be fruits, simply fruits, in reasonable quantities as well. Or, finally, a salad. In fact, a meal that is light, rather fresh, hydrating, so the opposite of what we probably ate during the feast meal, which feeds us but without overloading the body, which will be digested easily, which will do us good, which will make us happy and which will tell us maybe,
but what is good, a green salad, in fact, I should eat more often. The same, vegetable juice, what makes me happy. Come on, I'm going to motivate myself to make at least one every two days, something like that.
It's also this opportunity to say to yourself, OK, holidays are good, it made me happy, but I'm not going to do that too often because it's really heavy for my body the next day. Amel, who says, in case we have an acute liver crisis following a greasy and sweet meal, so the liver is unusually overloaded, what to do in an emergency to relieve and overcome this crisis?
Generally, it's going to be vomiting. That way, it stops everything in the stomach. The liver point, we can no longer, there are still things in the stomach. If we vomit, there's nothing left in the stomach.
And so there, hop, no more work for the liver. And at the same time, it allows him to get a lot of stuff out of the bill. It's not the most glamorous solution, but it's clearly the most effective.
And in fact, it's good to know it before. Amel, it's good to ask this question because you can ask yourself, do I want to throw up on a party night, or do I want to try to go with a little more moderation and temperance to this meal and maybe avoid eating a little more than usual or things that I know can overload my liver, so hyper-fat for example, so alcohol, so chocolate too.
So dessert, often it can be a bit of a heavy meal, I don't know if it happens often, but it can happen, a bit of a heavy meal, finally arrived at the end of the meal, time for dessert, well I don't feel too bad, a little heavy, but not worse than I thought.
I chewed well, I ate a lot of vegetables, I feel pretty good. Boom, the dessert arrives, I say, well, I'll have a piece.
And there, big discomfort, it suddenly falls, fatigue, the desire to vomit, nausea, etc. It was too much dessert. Simply, the body could have managed this meal, but adding a sweet dessert, fast sugar, at the end of the meal, which will ferment more chocolate, more fat, which will make the liver work, it's too much, and then we get sick and boom, maybe the evening is ruined.
So, the dessert, really, really, really, if you already feel digestive difficulties and you know that it is rather a weak point at home, the dessert can wait until the next day.
And even if at the moment it's a little hard, when you go to bed at night, without too much indigestion, you can thank yourself. So Céline, what do you say about a menu of entirely raw, vegetables without lactose or gluten.
It's cool, it's cool, but you have to see if your guests like it too, especially if they haven't been warned, because not everyone is necessarily in this movement, so it's very good. The only problem with this kind of menu that I can see, is the dessert, since raw desserts in general are absolutely indigestible. It's nuts with coconut oil, with agave syrup, with dates, with It's good, the result is very good, but at the digestive level,
it's still a disaster. So if the meal was really raw, light, it's the same, we can do raw things, but extremely mixed. And if we associate them with each other, it can also become difficult to digest.
For someone who has an insensitive intestine, who can't stand raw fibers, raw vegetables, it will also be very difficult. But in fact, there is no miracle recipe for the festive menu that will pass systematically.
The goal of the party is to have fun and have a good time with people you like. So that's the first point. If you're invited to people you don't necessarily like, you don't have to go. Maybe you think you have to because it's family, but you don't have to.
You can always find an honest excuse, I have a lot of work, I'm sick, etc. and you don't have to. In the end, isn't it also taking care of yourself and being able to assert yourself?
It's not necessarily wanting to mess up the family, it's also protecting yourself. So to go back to what Céline was saying, a full meal, why not? if it pleases everyone, but it will be indigestible as long as we do not overconsume, where we chew enough, where the atmosphere is good and where we do not go too far with the desserts, even if they are raw.
That's it. Everyone has their own thing, in the end. Jean-Claude who says, Christophe, but how do you vomit? Well, you put your two fingers in the throat until you touch the gout and it triggers a reflex of vomiting.
Maybe Jean-Claude didn't have episodes where he drank a lot of alcohol in his life. Otherwise, he might have been able to experience that. These are things that happen sometimes. It's not very glorious, but it's also life.
So to make yourself vomit, the most effective is that. Either we force ourselves to consume even more of this super indigestible butter cream cake, and it will eventually trigger vomiting. but there it remains to be even more unpleasant.
Either that's it, the two fingers in the throat and you throw up, classic. It's unpleasant, but it relieves the moment. Indeed, and once it's over, you feel much better.
And we say to ourselves that the next time maybe we'll be more careful. Indeed, as Amel says, it's unpleasant, but it relieves the moment instead of spending hours bending over in pain.
Indeed, and it's the same with excessive alcohol consumption. These are old memories that come back. Sometimes I'm not very proud of it, but there was a time when I had this kind of experience. Also a long time ago.
It's funny with hindsight, but at the time it was really not funny. OK. So, let's continue. So, the next day, how to recover quickly? We talked about having a wide meal window.
If it works, if I'm not really hungry, then I can wait. I can also put a broth on the liver, because it's usually the liver that's going to be in pain.
Intestinal liver, why not? A broth on the liver, on the stomach, with possibly a cataplasm of rice oil. We talked about vegetable juices and a raw meal. Yes, that's what makes us feel good.
If the rawness is not good for us, we can switch to steamed vegetables, with not too much fat, a little bit, but not too much. Then there is, of course, walking.
In softness, there is deep breathing, so I told you earlier about diaphragmatic breathing, to be able to massage the viscera and oxygenate and at the same time evacuate toxins. We must not forget that breathing allows us to evacuate the gas toxins, which is the carbon dioxide, but not only.
So very interesting. In addition to oxygenating and nourishing the body, it also helps detoxification. It is often a tool to neglect breathing. In addition to that, it allows us to regulate the parasympathetic nervous system with, for example, cardiac coherence.
It allows us to calm down if we focus on the expiration phase. A longer exhalation than the inhalation phase allows us to relax and calm down. And it also stimulates the nervous system, which is linked to many involuntary functions in the body, including digestion and many other things that I won't be able to tell you about because I don't know enough about them yet.
The hot shower, possibly the hot bath, even if you want to bring warmth to the body, to help it digest, to finish digesting, to finish relieving the liver and to circulate a little bit all these toxins.
If we are just on the eve of the meal that was a bit heavy, if we favor too much the elimination, either with dry fasting if we are not used to it, if we are used to dry fasting, frankly it is ideal.
If we regularly do dry fasting during the day, in the year of 24 hours, well, dry fasting just after the feast, even for those who are able to do it for three days. I have a friend who did that, who also lived a certain time in the center of regeneration.
When he was not doing well, it was three days of dry fasting. And in fact, it worked extremely well for him. After these three days, he had a shiny skin, he was in good shape, he felt good.
Indeed, for him it worked well, but it was something he repeated regularly during the year. So his body was used to 3 days of dry fasting. If this is not the case, it is better not to do it after a party meal.
Start much more slowly, 12 hours for example, 24 hours at the limit if you have already done dry fasting of 12 hours or more. But otherwise, rather moderation. So it will be rather vegetable juices, as I told you earlier, with ginger in particular, which is a stimulant for the digestive system.
Tisanes, we were talking about the Romarin, the Pissenlit earlier to support the liver. Very good also for the digestive tisanes we talked about. It was menthol, it was melis.
They can also help the next day. Light meals, really soup, vegetables, if you want an egg, a little fish, why not. but stay, at least you give work to your body, in addition, it will be able to manage what it has to manage.
It's the same thing as always, it's the same thing as in the context of fasting, if we lighten the workload of the body to allow it to do what it has to do. And if it is recovered after a huge meal, it will do the best it can as long as it is washed. Kamel tells us that the buoyancy on the right side of the abdomen is a tip to help the liver with the heat.
Absolutely, because the liver is located on the right side of the abdomen specifically. So here are the ideas to recover better. Overall, it is to leave the body calm. Give it rest, heat if necessary, softness, a little movement anyway.
Walk, especially if it doesn't rain at home at that time, which I obviously wish you. And so here we have some recipes that I found online because I don't really like recipes. So I'm going to share with you these things that are supposed to be digestible.
We're going to read them together and then we're going to see. So at the beginning, suggestions, fresh veal, I don't like it, beetroot mousse, fresh goat, lemon and chives, light, colorful, digestible.
Yeah, beetroot mousse, I don't know what it is. Anyway, so this recipe, overall, for me, if you do this at the beginning, you already have goat cheese, so a dairy product, so yes, goat, obviously, is more digestible than cow cheese, but you start the food stacking.
Beetroot mousse, insofar as it is simply beetroot that has been transformed into mousse, I don't know how, it's ok, whether it's raw or cooked, it doesn't matter. Lemon and chives, ok, we're good for digestion.
The goat with that, we stay on something digestible, isolated. If we add it to a meal, we already have a dairy product. So see what it's combined with. It can be debatable.
Another entry proposed, velvet of potimarron, coconut and ginger. Warming and sweet for the liver. Yes, as long as the coconut milk is not too concentrated in fat, because it does the job for the liver.
On the other hand, ginger is stimulating for the digestive system. So it can be a nice starter. Little brown, coconut, ginger. Yes, in general, there won't be a lot of coconut since the main one will be the little brown and the water in this kind of water.
There, indeed, you have something pretty that can be decorated with grated coconut on top. Here. Why not? There, a rather light starter. Philippe, he tells us an interesting comment about that.
a monodiet after a copious meal? Yes. Yes, absolutely. In fact, we stay in the same logic. To limit the work of the digestive system, whether by a monodiet, whether by a vegetable juice, whether by fasting, we always alleviate the work of the digestive system. It's just that it's up to everyone to find which formula suits them best. Is it fasting?
Is it dry fasting? Is it juice? Or is it rather a monodiet? Or is it a soup? As long as we're in this logic, that's the principle behind it.
To allow recovery, we have to lighten the work we ask of the body. If we do that, we've set the target well. If we understand this principle, then we'll be able to use the technique that suits us and that pleases us.
If a monodiade, for example, of mangoes that we could have ordered at Christmas, of Spanish mangoes, pleases us, very well. Or oranges, maybe it will be a little less far in Spain, oranges, than mangoes.
Well, a monodiet of oranges, it helps a lot to detoxify, to fluidize the mucus, to clean the liver too. It can be very, very pleasant, very hydrating too, oranges. So for example, it can be a good idea.
Philippe, well said. So, suggestion then of dishes. So here we have a dish, it's papillote salmon, lemon and tarragon, with roasted vegetables.
Well, overall, it makes me want to eat. In fact, papillote salmon, very, very good, it's going to be pretty light, it's accompanied with vegetables. So here, perfect, we have something classic, which is rather greedy.
Here, it's salmon, it's a bit of a party. Lemon and tarragon, if you like the seasoning, why not, it's rather part of the diet. So here we have something very, very good. And you can see that the side dish is vegetables, and we don't have potatoes or something like that. So we have a protein and vegetables.
Perfect. Very digestible, it's a bit of a party meal, no problem. If you have guests who want to eat something denser, you can always have bread on the table, you can have a gratin dauphinois or something else with potatoes in the oven.
Maybe pasta, but for a Christmas meal, pasta, unless you are Italian, pasta is not something that children will appreciate to see on the table. But let's say you have your salmon, vegetables, digestive version for you, and to satisfy everyone, we put something a little more...
A féculent, because that's what we're used to in French culture. Bread, potatoes. There are probably other things like that that are made and that are not pasta. You get the idea.
Féculent. Potatoes are good. Sweet potatoes. Make sweet potatoes in the oven. Sweet potato fries in the oven, just with oil. You put them in the oven. It's not really going to fry, but it's going to slightly brown.
Another suggestion for a dish, a stuffed chicken with mushrooms and chestnuts. So there you have something. The chestnuts, we are on a starch, but it remains a fairly light starch. In general, there are not incredible quantities in the chicken.
A little bit to accompany. And there, I would still add vegetables. Maybe a green salad. You can always add a green salad to all your meals. It helps to digest green salads. green salad, it's good for people who want to pay a little attention to their diet despite the holidays.
Oh, there's salad, that's great, it's going to make me lose weight, even if after I eat veal and desserts, in any case it will help me with digestion and above all it will bring fibers that will help the transits.
So there, frankly, it's easy, it's not expensive, the green salad, you make a salad bowl, you put it there, quiet. Stuffed veal with mushrooms and chestnuts, it's cool, with vegetables next to it, so So either green salad, or you can make a salad of raw vegetables, very easy, you take beets, carrots, celery, whatever, you put it in the robot to grate it, you season it, and then you have something nice.
And then always steamed vegetables, it's a possibility, something a bit original. In any case, the vegetables can be very banal, but in fact it is the presentation that can make all the difference and make the thing festive, while in fact it is classic vegetables that you consume every day at home.
With the chicken, you have something quite light. A few suggestions for desserts, so it's to be taken with the precautions that we have already talked about. First option, peeled pears with vanilla.
These are pears, there is no added sugar. Vanilla for taste. Well, we have something not very sweet, so that should not disturb the digestion too much, because we have little sugar, especially if we eat a little bit, a portion, and we don't use it.
If you manage to do something with non-sweet compote that looks festive, it's the same, if you want to make a party meal dessert, your dessert must look like a party meal. So if you have creativity with compote, just make something pretty, it can be interesting.
And then another dessert option, a chocolate mousse. It's a little less light, the trick will be to make light portions, to make a chocolate mousse without butter or cream. Alas, is it really worth making a chocolate mousse?
If you don't put butter in it, it's a real question. But if you want to please your guests without overloading them, well, a chocolate mousse, we still stay on eggs with classic chocolate.
You can even take chocolate at 70 % or more and there you are sure that you will have chocolate mousse left over for dessert because people are not used to that and so they will eat a lot less. And then there you have something quite light, classic chocolate mousse.
Why not? These are options for dessert. If you want to make a log at all costs or something that looks like it, there are probably special recipes. You can already make something gluten-free, simply with rice flour and a lot of cornstarch to serve as a binder.
Cornstarch with cornstarch. It must be possible to make biscuits for the log, the very light thing. It will be much more digestible, easier to digest than with classic wheat flour, of course. So why not, give it a try.
And the fruit salad, yes it's light, but in dessert, especially if the meal was a bit dense, it doesn't necessarily help digestion. But hey, it can be an option since it's pretty, it's fine. Let's see.
Céline who tells us, so if it tells you, let's stay ephemeral in Jallais in the Ardennes, Belgium, January 1st at 7.30 p.m., possibility to stay on site or in our beautiful region.
Private message, if that's OK. Yes, if people want to answer Céline, who lives in the region, it's cool to propose initiatives like that. Margaret, a real chocolate mousse is made without butter or just a nut butter for an 8-person salad bar?
Well, maybe, but I think that with a little salted butter, the chocolate mousse is good too. And so Céline specifies that it's a menu made raw, so with crusin. For people interested, it can be an opportunity to discover nice things.
So it's up to you to see with Céline, if you want to leave an email address, Céline in the chat so that people can contact you, people interested. So here we have just seen some examples of meals adapted for the holidays.
Unfortunately, I can't really help you more because for once, recipes are really not my thing. Ok, so if you have any questions, we have done the tour, if you have any questions, do not hesitate.
Céline has put her email in the comments. For those who live or who could be near the Belgian Ardennes on January 1, at 7.30 p.m., there is a possibility of making an ephemeral restaurant. Cruisine has shared with Céline. So that's it, we've gone through what I wanted to tell you about how to prepare and how to survive the end of the year parties.
There are no miracles, there are no incredible things. The most logical and relevant advice is to manage to moderate yourself. Do not eat too much, do not reserve yourself when you are no longer hungry, chew enough, take the time to eat, and then if you are no longer hungry for dessert, do not take dessert.
In the end, it's always the same, it's ourselves who are the guarantor of our own well-being, and it's ourselves who sometimes choose to do something that doesn't do us any good, because it's going to make us happy, because we want to have fun.
We always have good reasons, but in the end, the one who doesn't feel good is ourselves too, the consequences of our decisions. It's also a point to think about, an element of reflection.
And to know what we want to do, what we want for ourselves. And are we ready to assume the next morning? It's possible, as long as it allows us to have an excellent evening, to have fun once in a while.
why not, it's very good, in fact, there is no choice that is bad, it is up to each one to choose what suits us best at the moment, knowing that we will assume the consequences, the next day, but maybe longer too, if it is regular.
Margaret says she makes a homemade mousse au chocolat without butter. All gourmands love it. Of course, everyone loves mousse au chocolat. With or without butter, Margaret? No problem.
If you have one or two more questions, take advantage of them. Otherwise, we'll stop here. I think we've done the tour. To prepare for the holidays, of course, it's still a party meal, so it's also an opportunity to have fun.
We're not here to have fun, we're not here to spend time with our family, we have nothing to prove to anyone. It's the end of the year, we're here to have a good time, that's it. And do not forget, beyond the theory of food combinations, intermittent fasting, etc., etc., it is also an invitation not to take your head out of proportion.
We are all aware of our state of health, of our limits. As long as we respect our own limits, we can have a good time with the family or not. and if we don't want to go to the party, well, we don't have to.
That's it. Laetitia, who asks us, what do you think of the bath with Epsom salts to recover? I think it's pretty good, pretty interesting. Anyway, a bath to relax, not necessarily to recover after a party, but simply to feel good, it will always be extremely valuable.
Margaret, who says thank you and Merry Christmas to all. Thank you Marguerite, Merry Christmas to you, and a good butterless log. With a butterless chocolate mousse.
OK, Véronique says that I have answered her questions before I ask them. Well, that's great. Philippe, chocolate mousse with chickpea juice. So with aquafaba, which is chickpea cooking water.
Is it possible? It's possible to do, indeed. Recently, I saw, I don't know where, a warning about the quality of the aquafaba, so the chickpea water, depending on where you buy it.
You buy your chickpeas. I imagine that if you take them in a box, even organic, it should be OK. If you cook them yourself. In fact, it's the proteins, a part of the proteins in the chickpea water that will make this structure that replaces the snow white.
It's just that. It's possible, it's a vegetarian option, chocolate mousse with chichouane fish sauce. For example, Philippe, who obviously knows his way around desserts. Well, listen, we're going to stop there for today. I wish you a good evening.
You will have lives soon. So I don't know if it will be again with me. There are EFT lives that are planned again with Patricia. There will also be lives in the future with the Regénère cooks, who will give you recipes, because they know how to do it, unlike me. There will also be live broadcasts dedicated to the sport.
I don't know when it will be set up. These are the things that are planned. We have qualified people in the team who are volunteers. It will be part of the good surprises of next year. Thank you all, I wish you a good evening and I leave you with the video of the presentation of the stay, happy holidays to all!
Until I was 40, I privileged the work, I worked a lot, I was extremely demanding with myself, I had no more vitality, energy, I had completely exhausted my body.
At the age of 40, I started to question myself. One thing is for sure, I refused to tell myself that I had no chance of having health problems. I was convinced that I was responsible for my situation, depending on my way of living and my environment.
I loved it. It's like a new momentum. There I think I have more energy, so it's beautiful, I feel really good. We are in the middle of nature, in the Catalan mountains.
We had a great week, the last few days we had up to 30 degrees. A little walk at the waterfall. I learned the benefits of cold and hot baths. I think I was a little tired, tired of the city, of my usual rhythm.
To have another approach to my own discipline and things that I can put into practice in my life hygiene. But here, really, in an in-depth, authentic way. It's beautiful.
And we eat well too. We don't eat, there's nothing to say. The presentation, the colors, the tastes. I really wanted to experience a 100 % stay in nature, by eating raw organic products, and free of all pollutants and allergens.
And that really, really helped me. What we propose is that we try to have the most hypo-toxic diet possible, without being in something dogmatic either. We try to make people aware of a better diet, sometimes just by reorganizing meals properly.
And so, in the end, make them aware that it's far from being complicated to change diet, and that with simple gestures, a little bit every day, we can get on the road very quickly.
The most beautiful thing I discovered is really the living that we have in us. It's something completely amazing, wonderful. Today I found the vitality that I had at 25-30 years old. I rejuvenated. From 40 to 47 years old, I really have the feeling of having rejuvenated.
The body knows exactly what it is doing. You just have to trust, understand the definition of health, respect the living, and then trust, have faith. I feel like I'm here in a place that's a bit out of this world.
In a cocoon of kindness and love, where you can really recover, rest, and in which we feel very, very good. It's the freedom to feel. No immediate need to do things that go against what we feel.
Also find this instinct to juggle between what we eat, when we bathe, when we go to the hot, when we go to the cold, when we are alone, when we talk to others.
And when we don't do anything, when we do something. In a place where we can live that to the fullest, I think we are in heaven. I'm 80 years old, yes. I was 80 in January, yes. It's true that the videos of REGENER on YouTube have helped me to become aware of food problems, etc. I apply it on a daily basis.
I try to be careful. I do sports almost every day. And at home, I have a gardening and DIY activity that I do all day. Regenerative stay is a very different formula from the regenerative internships that used to take place in a beautiful place like the Mass Bellerich.
Today, it takes place in the center of regeneration, in which residents can really immerse themselves in life, in the center of regeneration, which understands much more than autonomy in terms of health.
It is autonomy in terms of food, even in terms of electricity. The autonomy of thought. That's what makes it different. It is an immersion in a way of life. The physical and sporting activities that we offer go further than the simple participation in the functioning of the muscles.
It allows you to find a balance, sometimes to exceed your limits, not always, you don't have to, but in any case, it allows you to leave this stay with a high-quality experience. The training courses we offer are at high-intensity intervals.
We really adapt to all levels. whether you have an injury or not, whether you have a strong heart rate or not. And we always try to have a good laugh. And we try to have a good laugh, yes. With good training, there is always that part that prevails.
We don't take ourselves seriously, they don't have to take themselves seriously, but that's it. We offer them a lot of activities on the map. They choose what they want to do according to what they are told.
And they will experiment with little things that they will be able to set up at home. The goal is really to give tools for them to be autonomous. There is dance, which I really, really liked. It's really both physical, but it's more than that.
It's energizing because there is the artistic side, there is music, there is a joy, an energy that is communicative. Pascal's musical purge, I loved that, because I wasn't expecting it.
In fact, I arrived with some fears, and finally all these workshops, these small proposals that are never mandatory, I'm happy to have done it. It made me dare. Like any group, there are always people a little more introverted, a little more extroverted, and it's true that it's quite interesting to have feedback on the fact that people who thought they knew yoga, people who had a priori on yoga, on breathing, finally, what we propose is to everyone,
people with experience, people for whom it's all new. In fact, we try to zoom in, zoom out a bit and allow it to be accessible. In any case, people understand and say to themselves, I can grasp it and practice it regularly.
Sharing it with the team, with all the people staying, it really creates a link and often they stay in touch after the stay, so that's nice. Emotionality is one of the pillars of health, so with Patricia, we discover the practice of EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique.
